1 week ’til Ska Nation

22 Oct

It’s somewhat hard to believe that it has come around so quickly, but in a week we’ll be making our way down to Melbourne to partake in the now annual celebration of ska music in this country.  It has been two years since we saw Chris Murray and in truth I didn’t really expect to see him perform again.  It turns out we’ll probably get to see him play about 4 times over the course of the week, and that starts off with Ska Nation.

If you haven’t yet bought your tickets, or you’ve been tossing up whether to make the trip down to Melbourne, I would definitely urge you to make the affirmative decision to be a part of this festival.  It’s the best type of festival – one inside established venues where beers come from a tap and port-a-loos not even a consideration.

As well as Chris Murray, you’ll get to enjoy the likes of The Ska Vendors, Commissioner Gordon, Loonee Tunes, Madonna, The Kujo Kings, Son of Dad (SA), LoTek and the Rebel Hifi (UK), The Resignators, Dan Pothast (US), Chris Duke and the Royals and even Area 7.  While not everything is my cup of tea, it will be a good mix both on the stage and in the crowd.

You’ll also be able to buy tickets on the door.
