About

Dizzybeat is a content and opinion based website with a focus on ska, reggae, rocksteady and associated subcultures within Australia and across the world. It is also a name associated with many gigs and club nights in Sydney. Dizzybeat began in April 2001, sprouting out of a rather crudely named print and e-zine called Skammunicator. Since then it has had contributors come and go, with the majority of content contributed by myself, Glen Smyth. This is the seventh design phase of dizzybeat. Having previously used various combinations of html, asp and php, the current design and structure has been simplified to the point where it is a fairly simple blog.
